Axel Gromann is a highly accomplished Technology Risk and Cyber Security executive with over 20 years of experience across financial services, energy, and global consulting environments.
He brings deep expertise across cyber security, cloud, AI, data governance, and regulatory frameworks including APRA CPS 230 and CPS 234, with a proven ability to manage risk in large-scale transformation programs.
In the past he served as Head of Technology Risk at Allianz Australia where he lead enterprise-wide cyber and technology risk, governance, and compliance, partnering closely with c-suite and executive stakeholders to strengthen resilience and embed a proactive risk culture. Axel has also held senior leadership roles at organisations such as News Corp, Commonwealth Bank, and Accenture, consistently delivering measurable uplift in risk maturity and security posture.
A strategic yet hands-on leader, a risk and cyber thought leader, he is recognised for balancing innovation with compliance, influencing senior stakeholders, and building high-performing teams that drive sustainable business resilience.
Candice was named second in Chandler Macleod’s national consultant of the year out of 102 consultants in her first year of recruitment.
