Sekhar is a strategic technology leader with more than 25 years of experience establishing technology businesses across Asia and the Middle East, and driving enterprise transformation across financial services and infrastructure industries. He brings deep expertise in financial services technology modernisation, cloud transformation, AI/ML strategy and execution, agentic AI architecture, enterprise data, regulatory delivery and large-scale program governance.
At Commonwealth Bank, Sekhar led multiple enterprise transformation initiatives including SAP Banking Services implementation and data migration, Group Decisioning Platform, Group Data Warehouse modernisations and multiple other complex operational data platform upgrades. At Laing O’Rourke, he has established a new technology subsidiary from the ground up, defining its data and AI strategy, shaping its cyber security posture, Information Security Management System, Organisational policies and procedures to meet DISP & ISO 27001 standards, and building the strategic partnerships, setting up offshore Global Capability Centre and specialist technology practices behind an agentic AI platform now scaling across the infrastructure industry.
