John is a Business and IT Professional who has extensive experience operating in the Australian Financial Services and Information Technology space. His particular areas of expertise include but are not limited to Core Banking Transformation, Data Analytics and Migration, System Integration and Business Intelligence. John has successfully led and delivered projects for the Finance, HR, Institutional Banking, Commercial Lending, Data Quality and Analytical Reporting business units.

John’s 13 years in the Banking and Finance Industry has seen him play a key role in the successful modernisation of Australia’s largest retail bank, where he was integral in enabling regulatory and management reporting from the new banking platform. John was also critical in transitioning the legacy system to a new HR and Payroll management platform in his previous project. In his latest assignment, John led a team of analysts and
developers to deliver a new MIS Reporting solution as part of the sale of
CommInsure business to AIA.

John has extensive knowledge and experience gained from working across multiple technologies such as MS SQL, Teradata, Oracle, SAP Banking and Datastage. John has a flexible but disciplined approach in delivering IT projects utilising the best of Agile practices and Prince2 methodology. His passion and integrity, strong work ethic and leadership qualities is a source of inspiration to his peers.

Key Achievements

John has successfully delivered the data migration of CBA’s HR and Payroll systems and played a pivotal role with integrating the Workday and Global View platforms. John has also delivered one of many major releases during his tenure in CBA’s Core Banking Modernisation programme, extracting SAP banking data and integrating into the Group Data Warehouse for downstream reporting and data analytics.
