The FBI recently warned people to avoid using free public phone charging stations found at airports, hotels and shopping malls, as they may expose them to “juice jacking”, a type of cyberattack that can install malware or steal data from their devices.
In this excerpt from our recent chat with @brianhay, we watched a news release snippet from the US and then discussed the need for introducing minimum security standards for devices, similar to the safety regulations for motor vehicles. These standards could mitigate the risk or might even prevent devices from being pre-infected or compromised by hackers.
