Did you know that in New South Wales alone, a staggering 1.7 million tonnes of food is wasted every year? Households are the largest contributor to that, accounting for 688,000 tonnes of #foodwaste, annually. While our homes contribute significantly to this waste, there are countless people across the globe who face hunger. Did you know that more than 30% of produce is wasted or that the process of destroying wasted produce at landfills or turning it into compost causes carbon emissions that are harmful to the environment?
